The first step in using your desktop scanner will be to install the scanner software. Without the scanner software, you would not have the programs needed for your scanner to transfer and store digital images. Once the scanner software is installed, the scanning process begins. Before you scan your document, you will lift the lid of the scanner, placing your document on the glass surface of the scanner. You may shut the lid and click the scan button once your document is placed on the glass window.
