A blog about florida quail hunting
There was no such thing as a quail plantation in Florida until about the year 1980 or so. Until then hunters had great success at hunting quail which were very easily found in Florida. It is a sad fact that there are not as many quail left in Florida because of the increase in both human and feral cat populations. The quail population has actually declined by up to 70 percent. One solution to help preserve the quail population and help hunters has been the development of the idea of a quail plantation in Florida.
